Fwd: Save CISE fundraising pledge form

Friends,

All of you must have seen the pledge form and response to the same by now. We need to contact all our alumni ASAP to spread the message about the pledge form and get a whole lot more pledges.

I have ~7000 alumni email ids (from Nuri) that we can send a well-crafted message to tomorrow morning. Can you guys work with me to send this out, preferably before the town hall meeting at 11 am today?

As per advice from faculty and feedback from alumni, we worked on setting up a fundraising pledge form. The goal of this form is not to collect money but to gauge who would be ready to contribute money to the cause, if needed. So after searching a lot of ready-made solutions we have made a simple google form to get this information. We can use some of the ready-made fundraising web sites out there but they all take credit card information and we did not want to do that.

Please review and provide feedback. We can embed this form on our website and then request people to pledge money. Information on who pledges and how much is totally pledged can be updated on our website automatically. This way we can show that people are ready to make an one-time contribution if these cuts are not considered recurring cuts.

Shiva, you already have a very good 1 paragraph message that you sent to
the industry consortium and the alumni.

You also have a very good pledge page and a pledge letter/form page
that you can link to. What is missing is a complete college of
computing proposal - which will be linked
from both of the above pages.

That is in the works. Should be done tommorrow.

Yes, I was hoping to use the same message and link to the pledge page on the  website.

Would you recommend waiting until the proposal in online before we contact these 7000+?
