Hi, Shiva,

I was talking to Nuri on the phone. He wanted me to help on contacting alumni in Silicon Valley. Joon composed a letter to the alumni. We keep it short so that the alumni can print it out and bring them to the event. Please see the attached file.

I think the better way find out the alumni located silicon valley is using linkedin's premium account. With the premium linkedin account, one can search members based on their degree earned and current location. Can you please contact Dr. Sitharam to see if the department can reimburse the cost of the premium account?

Francisco Bay Area.
Most of them are in the information technology related area, what
information do we need here?

Asking the alumni to join this group and initiate the discussion is great.
But alumni are usually busy. The first thing we have to do is to send them an email with all the necessary info in case the Dean give them misleading info. If they are interested and have questions, we are certainly here to answer their questions.
But the most important things is to send the message out.

611 was for past 5 years, from UF.
if I change date to past 50 years, it's more than 3000.

ok now I have premium account,
can we fix time so that we can do it together?
I can search them by the industry but there is no control over the
dept. they studied in
unless they mention it. In my experience people many time don't
input.

We can get in touch with the current students and ask them to provide us the details of alumni that they might be knowing. Also I think ASCIE maintains a list of students in the CISE Department , we can take their help in searching the Alumni.
