He'd not been able to get much information but had contacted the
Department for [sic] Education and been told that the Expression of
Interest was still awaiting a response from ministers.
So it seems that, zombie-like, this Academy proposal just refuses to
lie down and die. Clearly neither the Diocese nor the Council are
prepared to put it out of its misery and move on.
You can't tell me that this continuing uncertainty over St B's fate
isn't damaging to the school.
Surely the time is now ripe to kill off the proposal and for the
sponsors to turn their attention to raising funds to refurbish the two
schools. The likelihood of new build money is miniscule.
