to Save Soaring At Hemet Today
Our attorney, Ron Cozad has provided us with the official notice of
docket from the FAA. Note the docket number 16-09-13, so it appears
we are the 13th Part 16 for the year. Anyway, unless extended the
County has until 11/17 to file their answer. We then have 10 days to
file a reply. After that they have 10 days to file a rebuttal.
We expect the County to ask for an extension, which we will fight.
All the time frames are short and we want the midnight oil to be
burning in the County's offices (and ours) thru the holiday season.
With regards to paying for our legal bills, we have raised about
20% of our goal from 14 donors. Quite frankly we need to see more
from many. Far more pilots have flown from Hemet in the last 40 years
than 14, let's hear from you. Many names are conspicously
absent...please encourage by passing this email on to your flying
buddies.
So if YOU WANT to see Hemet COME BACK as a gliderport, if you want
to ESTABLISH A PRECIDENCE for glider access which can be applied
THOUGHOUT the USA, or if you are TIRED OF unaware POLITICIANS making
rules that destroy our sport...now is the time to send in a check.
For about the cost of a 3,000 ft tow from about 50 pilots we would be
in great shape...and you would know you did the right thing at the
right time for YOUR sport.
Make your check out now to:
