Today we scored a big hit when a FAA built torpedo went into the
side of the EDA's argument for shutting down our glider runway...their
claim that the two parallel runways were "too close" NO LONGER HAS
SUPPORT based on a brand new clarification memo coming out of the FAA.

See the FAA memo in the SHTT File section named, "Parallel Runway
Separation".

One would hope a strong icey breeze is flowing thru the EDA right
now as the main leg of their legal case has been knocked out from
under them.

Supervisor Jeff Stone said he would let us fly if we produced this
document. Come on EDA, let's start talking! It's only going to get
worse for you....

That is the best news I've heard all 2010. I hope that will motivate
other potential participants(e.g., other glider clubs) in renewed
soaring at Hemet to take a more active interest/role/postion is
supporting the great effort you and others have done. Keep that
hammer down.
