Media influence for Save 12683 campaign?

Friends, I got a chance to call Asianet Suvarna News channel today. I've explained about the issue that we are addressing, the progress that we made so far to the concerned person and asked if it's feasible to get media support for the same. 

He asked me to send a detailed mail to them with the contact number in it. They will have to go through the issue in detail, and if it's found interesting to them, they will get back !

Can we have a format prepared for it? It may get more attention if the news is shown via a Malayalam news channel. But i think we can redirect to Asianet Malayalam news channel if they accept the content. comments please?

Just got a positive response from Surya TV. They are ready to help us on this issue. 

I talked to the concerned person @ Surya News channel and he asked me to send the details as below

-  Issue in detail ( malayalathil mathi  :-) )

-  When railways announced this decision?

-  where are we today w.r.t the campaign?

Friends, Just got an update from Surya TV. They reviewed the details that we sent today. They are planning to take interviews with some passengers before they present it in the news channel. probably it will be broadcasting early next week ( probaby by Tuesday or Wednesday )

I've requested him to give us a video of the whole broadcast so that we can make it more public via Facebook etc. any thing else?

I heard they(railway) arranged a new train in ekm- bangalore route on all sunday...........

That's true. But note that this train was announced in Mamta Banerjee's last Budget meet. The railways have played beautifully here by postponing the existing train to Monday. They knew that the passengers will definitely make noise as we do today. So the plan may be to make the new train available at the same timing 12683 was running.

By this way, they can take an excuse by saying they acknowledge passenger's concerns. But the aim is not giving more than 2 trains from Kerala to bangalore on sunday's ( not counting morning train ) ... എന്ത് കൊണ്ട് അങ്ങനെ ആയിക്കൂടാ? 

Now none of the politicians ( and even media ) may not give much importance to this issue saying the same excuse of introducing the new train. I think we will have to make this point strong in our campaigns moving forward?

Vinu, Suzie, Renjith... any thoughts?

Don't we need the Train 12683 on Sundays?

Any idea from which date can I book their 'brand new' 12xxx Sunday Ernakulam SF? I tried dates in July and August, and it still shows only Island and the Day train.

Still dont see the train in the indianrailways website. Not sure if it going to start serivce on 24 July. The south western railway website,which was last updated on 1st July(no further updates after that), says the date of introduction will be 'notified later'.

Hopefully they will not start the reservation for this train on 24 July.
