Hi,

I got a chance to talk to M B Rajesh (MP Palghat) couple of days back regarding allotting a stop for Kochuveli express at K R Puram, he explained how we can approach the issue. When the request comes in front of the railway board, they consider whether the request is of mass demand. Then only they will do some kind of actions on any request.

So what he was telling is : We need to prepare a memorandum with as much as signature as possible and needs to get it signed from the MP of the region where the station is located and hand over to MBR. Then he will take care of getting the signature of all other MP's from Kerala and submit it to railway board.

Since this issue(stop at KR Puram) is not much relevant now, we can prepare a memorandum to rollback the new timings along with allotting stop at KR Puram together and submit to him.

He will be visiting Bangalore quite often from now on since the DYFI national conference is going to happen on Sep 11-15, so we can directly handover the memorandum to him.

Please discuss and come up with a action item if this plan sounds good.

Regards,
Rahul

Please check the above link. Here they are saying that the tamilnadu railway lobby is behind this supported by the private bus lobby.

Hi Rahul,

Thanks for the below post. In fact all the issues you have mentioned below are very relevant.

Railway board should consider a stoppage for the train at KR Puram station as well as keep the train time useful for the travelers. I believe there will be lot of people who will be happy to participate in preparing and signing this memorandum. Please let me know if we can be a part as well.

The sad thing is that we haven't heard from Railway board about the train for quite some time now. Did we loose this train?

Pls do the needful, the best way is to approach malayalee organizations in Bangalore and we can all support this.

Thanks,
Bobby
