Updates complete info. re: El Rio dance Church event

Christine contacted Essex Lordes of El Rio to get the details about
what's expected of us for this event. I'm going to paste his response
to her email here which clearly lays out the entire event and what's
expected of us from SLM.

The event seems to not be very labor intensive on our part. I'm
definitely up for being the point person for this ongoing event as it
seems to be a cool idea.

Essex's email response follows:

Greetings Christine & Nikki,

Thanks for the e-mail reply Christine, sorry for the phone tag we've
been having. I'm cc'ing my planning partner Kitn so she's in the
loop. For promotion, in addition to publicizing on the Save Lyon
Martin website/calendar I would like to get some printed flyers over
to you guys to distribute at the clinic or anywhere else you feel is
appropriate. I couldn't see more than 3 people being necessary so the
two of you with an additional person for speaking sounds perfect. To
answer your question Nikki, a volunteer is great. The speaker just
needs to be affiliated with the clinic to some degree and should be
someone you feel comfortable with speaking on the clinic's behalf.

The entire event will take place on the patio. We're planning on
turning the nook the back corner into a "confessional" where the day's
organization will table. I'll be set up across the way with my DJ
equipment. The mic will be with me so the speaker will speak from my
side. Staff will be collecting donations at the door. We're still
working out details with the Sisters as to their role, but ideally I'm
hoping they will pass around a "collection plate" which will probably
look a can or bucket of some sort. I say plan to bring one of your
own unless The Sisters plan on bringing something fancy. I'm also
anticipating The Sisters to MC throughout the event, hopefully every
1st Sunday.

mail if you need to know any more details. Let me know if you need
any support in planning your logistics for June. Also let me know if
there's a time/place to drop off some flyers, at least by early next
week. I'm super excited to work with you folks and support the clinic
right now! This will be a lot of fun for the community!
