Initial limited El Rio Dance Church information

Hello All,

I spoke with Christine this evening and have some limited information
about our responsibilities for this event. Christine is going to
contact a contact person at El Rio to get more specific information
which I will pass on to the group.

From what I gather, we will need to supply a person or two to staff a
table, provide a speaker ( preferably from the LM staff) to give a LM
and SLM spiel, possibly ( but not yet known for certain) provide
someone to take care of the door and probably do some or all of the
promotion about which Christine will fill us in. As soon as I find out
ALL of the particulars, I'll post them.

From what I gather about this event, I'm inclined to be the point
person for it as long as the promotional aspect isn't ludicrously time
consuming which I suspect that it will not be. I probably can get some
limited help from Christine given that she has a rather full plate at
this point. It seems that we're almost set for personnel for May 1 as
we have Kara as the speaker, Christine and I will take care of the
table and we might or might not need someone to take care of the door.
I'll work on the publicity.

During the 4/6 fundraising meeting, Roni Jacobs mentioned that due to
her absence, she was feeling out of the loop. If she is up to it, I
would love to have her co-lead or co-point these El Rio events with me
so that she can get back into the loop, I can have very capable
assistance and we can share the organizing responsibilities which
don't seem to be daunting from what knowledge I currently have about
these events. If Roni is not up for it (I really hope that she is)
perhaps Mitchel can draft someone else to volunteer to co-lead this
with me or I can fly solo.

I will update this information as soon as I find out the absolute
specifics from Christine.
