Since emailing everyone about my concern that Ludgate Farms is
planning on closing, tons of people have expressed interest in keeping
the business alive and all kinds of ideas have been suggested
including turning the existing business into a worker-owned coop,
getting a bunch of local nonprofits to invest as a group, or perhaps
radically revisioning Ludgate's as a community meeting space offering
equipment for food preservation, garden plots, classes and more.
We will be having a meeting to discuss all of these ideas and more
with the current owners, the Quinn-Jacobs, and anyone interested in
the future of Ludgate Farms as an ongoing contributor to our local
food security.
Please come if you are interested in getting involved in any way, even
if you don't have a lot of time but just want to be part of the
discussion.

Am not sure if an agenda is being formed for the meeting or who is
moderating it, but I would like to have 15 minutes at the start to
present the work we've done to date exploring the cooperative option
and to apprise folks of the fiscal and infrastructure realities
involved with this property.

Drew
there's no official agenda, but i am happy to facilitate and create an
agenda on the spot based on who shows up and what we want to discuss.
and yes, we should definitely include time for you to share all your
insights into the current situation - thank you so much for
participating!
i'm also going to be talking to michael ludgate before the meeting and
i can share his thoughts with the group at the meeting.
