to Save Ludgate Farms
Hello eveyone - I am willing to be a board member. I fit into the
category of "older, long-time Ludgate's shopper" and I definitely fit
the category of "lives nearby and considers Ludgates a neighborhood
treasure." I live in Varna, can act as a liaison to the non-profit
Varna Community Association, and I stay current with the Town of
Dryden's plans for changes/improvements in Varna. Although life on a
state highway can be royal pain, the traffic volume of Rt. 366 might
have definite advantages if Ludgate's/its successor were to relocate
to Varna.

Here's another idea - consider the hal al meat niche. There is a
fairly sizeable community of Muslims in Ithaca who go to Syracuse or
Binghamton to do their shopping because no one sells hal al meats
locally. Don't know what that would entail but it would be worth
investigating. I'll do some checking.

I think these are good and creative ideas.  Also many members of the local Forest Home community could support.  Also possible be inviting to groups like bikers.  What is most most needed is to dream at least one person that will be passionate about being a leader and starting to think in practical terms.  Maybe this is already happening.  All beginning are difficult.
