Hello Student Leaders,
As you all hopefully know at this point, the UC Regents will be voting to increase tuition this Thursday, enacted immediately. That means the amount of tuition we'll be charged fall quarter will increase as well! Students will be at the Regents meeting this entire week to lobby and testify on your behalf. But, more can be done.We need to do our best to ensure that ALL UCLA students are aware of this vote and what it means for them.
Here's what you can do right now! (more to come soon)
Step ONE:
Change your profile pic and TAG your friends in it!: Make the image attached to this email your facebook profile pic to spread awareness to students.
Step TWO:
Update your Facebook Status to one of the ones below or anything related. Feel free to add links to articles or stylize :)
"Oh no! I need a new eFAN. Because this Thursday, the UC Regents will vote to increase fees for THIS Fall Quarter...AGAIN. Another 10% increase before we even get back to campus to pay for the 8% increase the Regents already approved."
"INCOMING FRESHMEN: The cost of UCLA that you saw when you SIR'd is no longer what you will pay when you arrive this Fall. The UC Regents will vote THIS THURSDAY, to increase fees AGAIN by about 10% and it will take effect immediately!"
"ATTENTION ALL UCLA STUDENTS: Can you afford to have to pay $1,818.00 more when you come to campus THIS Fall than you planned for? The UC Regents are voting to make you do just that, THIS" Thursday.
Step THREE:
Pass this ON! Share this email with everyone you know because the Quality, Affordability, and Accessibility of our University are to important to sacrifice.
