Hi Paul,
This is not currently possible, as the database server (Infobright) is not compatible with Mac. It's possible to set up a VM with a different OS running on Mac, but that's a heavyweight alternative. We are working on other backends that will work on Mac, but for the short term we recommend using a separate Linux machine.
