I am trying out Savant 1.5.0. I click Load Genome from the File menu,
then the Published Genome radio button, then choose hg18 and tick the
RefSeq Genes checkbox, then the OK button.

I then type GAPDH into the Location: box and it moves the view to the
correct region, but the No data in range text remains and no gene
model is displayed. Might it be a bug, or is there another way to
display the genes in the gene track ?

Hi Dario,

I just tried opening hg18 and searching for GAPDH, and it works fine
for me. Could you try another gene and see if you get the same
behaviour? Also, on what platform are you running Savant?

Thanks,
