Hi Everybody,

I am writing to remind you of the Charleston singing tomorrow
afternoon, 2pm-4pm. Also, please respond to Buck at wmh...@comcast.net
to let him know if you will attend the rehearsal at his and Ellen's
home on September 2 and also the church service on Sunday morning. So
far we have heard "yes" from the following...
Don
Frank
Judy G.
Tom
Sharon
Gene
Nancy W.
Buck
Ellen

Additionally we will be joined by three of the local church members.
One is a harmonica soloist and another is a former Army band officer.
(He will be held to a higher standard!)

Also, below is a note I sent to the Fasola singing group list on
gmail....Gene

Greetings from the sunny South!

We want to cordially invite you to our sixth annual all-day singing to
be held Saturday, October 9th, from 10am-3pm at Faith Primitive
Baptist Church, 3212 Bee Road, Savannah. In lieu of the traditional
covered dish supper, our lunch hour will help support the church's
barbecue fund-raiser, with proceeds going to assist the church's
outreach mission. So, no cooking, just bring lunch money.

In September we are trying something different to raise awareness and
hopefully attract new singers. One of our singers, Reverend William
"Buck" Lea, a two-time Camp FaSoLa alum, has invited us to help
present the morning prayer service at the church he leads in
Hinesville, GA. We are providing music for the entire service. If you
are in the Hinesville/Ft. Stewart area on September, 5th please join
us. I have listed the order of worship below.

Sacred Harp Sunday

Buck Says...

Sr. Elena has also said "yes".

We have three singers plus a harmonica player. The Army band officer
will
be held to a higher standard as he is one of Gene's old Army buddies.
They
all have good voices even though they haven't sung shape note music.

We need 4 - 6 more singers to really have a good sound.

Thanks,

Buck
