Introduction to Operations and Supply Chain Management by Bozarth comes complete with detailed descriptions of topics such as human resources, finance, marketing, operations, and supply chain. The book is organized into nine main sections that are discussed in great detail. I especially liked the explanations of the concepts and how they are used in the various topics throughout the text.

The first chapter explains what logistics is and how operations play a critical role in supply chain management. It then goes on to describe how changes in supply chain management affect operations and how to evaluate a company's operations. This chapter is very good at explaining what logistics is and why it is important to businesses.

Chapter two details some of the key terms and concepts used throughout the book, including the Mascot, Logistics, and Operations groups. It then goes on to describe operation techniques, which include the use of work orders, work schedules, and break times. Operations are described in terms of quality, quantity, and turnaround time. Finally, a checklist of topics is provided to aid in reviewing important topics. for why they do so. It also explains why it is important to meet customers' needs as quickly as possible.

Incorporating these three main topics into an introduction to operations and supply chain management framework should be fairly easy. The use of graphics and charts are recommended to support the text and to visually illustrate the ideas being presented. The book is also accompanied by checklists and glossaries. A final review of the book concludes with some recommended reading and resources.
