I tried Apple TV (recently I got aware that I no more need to take a macbook to the TV, dropping sweat on it, if I switch to an Apple TV device and I immediately bought one) and found two cases where my virtual rides became physical rides in Strava:
1) Kinomap on Apple TV is very limited, it doesn't export rides and I created a manual activity in Strava. Maybe I was ambisinister and didn't find how to do this the right way, but my manual activity was created as (physical) ride
2) I tried some app called PsychoRide, it failed to upload to Strava directly, so I uploaded to Training Peaks and exported a gpx from there to upload to Strava. I suspect that somewhere around Training Peaks my virtual ride became physical ride
Now I know (c), but these two rides are unnecessarily physical ones

Thanks for posting about this. In order to classify an activity under a virtual sport type, the activity must be originally recorded as a virtual activity using a supported virtual trainer or treadmill, and contain virtual GPS data.

I live in Canada and IRL rides are not an option for me during winter therefore all my rides and training are virtual. Why have you removed the feature for these KM or Miles to count towards badges? I enjoy the badges and they help to motivate me when I don't feel like riding therefore can you re-consider enabling this option? I have a Garmin head unit but I don't know why I should run this at the same time as Wahoo Systm when I don't need to and never had to. All these applications have issues when multiple Bluetooth inputs are required and other devices 'steeling' Bluetooth inputs.

There is a trick you can use to make your rides from Wahoo count but it requires some work. Download the FIT file for your ride and then change the creator/device for the file with Fit File Tools or Fit File Repair Tool and then upload the file to Garmin Connect.

The CSI virtual staff ride (VSR) consists of simulated terrain built in a 3D virtual environment produced largely from satellite imagery, digital terrain elevation data, photographs, video, and first-hand accounts. The Staff Ride Team developed its first VSR in 2005 as a means to study Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Since then, the team has developed multiple VSRs to replicate terrain that Army organizations cannot readily access from the Continental United States.

Look for this download icon to find Staff Rides with available resource materials and files that are ready for download. The resource files include instructor support materials, student readings, and virtual terain with instructions on using everything.

The Staff Ride Team can conduct virtual staff rides remotely over MS Teams. For this option, we ask the organization to host the Teams meeting and to invite the instructor team to attend. Staff Ride personnel will connect to the Teams meeting from Fort Leavenworth. Once the meeting begins, the staff ride historian and the computer tech will alternate sharing their screens for all participants. Though not as effective as conducting the VSR in person, the remote VSR serves as a suitable alternative when the staff ride instructor team and the participants cannot meet in-person.

The Staff Ride Team endeavors to build new virtual staff rides every year. We program our VSR builds 3-5 years into the future and balance our builds between traditional staff rides and virtual staff rides. Virtual Staff ride builds come from three sources: CAC/AU directives, internally, and requests from the field. The Staff Ride Team Chief recommends the order and priority of staff ride builds through the chain of command for approval. Building a virtual staff ride is a lengthy project that involves both historians and virtual terrain developers. Historians build products for all three phases of the VSR and includes historical and doctrinal research, writing and editing, creating visual aids, and visits to the actual terrain whenever possible. Virtual developers work in concert with historians to build virtual terrain as historically accurate as possible. See graphic depiction for the steps involved in building a virtual staff ride and a general timeline:

Many of the rides at Universal Studios combine sight, sound and touch to create a complete, unique attraction adventure. The rides themselves do little more than sway gently from side to side, eliminating the high thrills and daredevil drops of big roller coasters, found elsewhere across the resort.

This land features an array of mystifying Harry Potter themed attractions, however the most popular ride is definitely Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, a stunning virtual reality experience!

Scroll through the post below to take a virtual ride on all of Cedar Point's roller coasters -- including a few special night ride videos. We even tossed in a handful of bonus ride videos on attractions like maXair, Power Tower, the train and a few water slides.

The Virtual TD Five Boro Bike Tour is back and joined this year by virtual versions of our regional Discover Hudson Valley Ride and Twin Lights Ride! Bike through New York City car-free, and enjoy the landscapes of the Hudson Valley and rural and coastal New Jersey, all from home this winter.

That means that from the comfort of your own couch, or wherever you are reading this right now, you can experience some of the most sought-after Disney rides from 12 parks worldwide- no Genie+ required!

With plenty of thrill rides, guests are sure to get their adrenaline fix while at the parks. If you want to scope out the rides before arriving in the park, here are some of the best options to experience the thrill from home.

Put on some 3D glasses and board an Expo Edition Iron Wing for a wild flight over Hong Kong. While the virtual experience may not be as thrilling as the real thing, it gives you a great look at one of the few rides that are difficult to experience in person.

There are Disney parks across the entire world, and each one has rides that are unique to the location. We have put together the best virtual rides in 4K and 360-degree video so that you can experience them from home.

I think XATA looks to previous activities on the same day over the past 30 days for recommendations. This might be the closest XSS available for a virtual ride on that specific day, say on a Wednesday for example. Not sure why the workout is so low, were you looking very early in the morning (like 1 or 2am) for a workout and the deficit is for nearly 24 hours later at 11:59pm?

The Virtual Ride & Advocacy Challenge is a fun, challenging way to support Autism and disAbilities anywhere and anytime. It is designed to engage groups and communities that want to create their own interactive fundraising experience and for those who, for whatever reason, cannot join on of our planned charity rides in-person.

The S22i features a 22-inch touchscreen that brings the iFIT programming to life. With your iFIT monthly membership, you will have access to trainer-led outdoor rides through breathtaking terrain all over the globe, and Google Maps technology, which allows you to drop a pin and select bike routes nearly anywhere in the world.

Coop also notes that with the Google Maps technology, cyclists can potentially even practice routes prior to races performed in the real world. If virtual courses, incline training, and automatic controls excite you, read about our hands-on experience in the NordicTrack S22i review.

The Peloton Bike is well-known for its live classes, leaderboard competition, and virtual community. However, to keep up with the list of growing Peloton competitors, the brand now features scenic virtual rides and classes for All-Access members.

For this roundup of indoor exercise bikes with virtual courses, we also took into consideration the bike as whole and what else it offers. We also wanted this roundup to include options for folks on any budget.

There has long been interest in both the tonic and phasic release of scent across a wide range of entertainment settings. While the presentation of semantically congruent scent has often been used in order to enhance people's immersion in a particular context, other generally less successful attempts have involved the pulsed presentation of a range of scents tied to specific events/scenes. Scents have even been released in the context of the casino to encourage the guests to linger for longer (and spend more), at least according to the results of one controversial study. In this narrative review, I want to take a closer look at the use of scent in a range of both physical and digital environments, highlighting the successes (as in the case of scented theme park rides) and frequent failures (as, seemingly, in the context of scent-enabled video games). While digitally inducing meaningful olfactory sensations is likely to remain a pipe dream for the foreseeable future, the digital control of scent release/delivery provides some limited opportunities to enhance the multisensory experience of entertainment. That said, it remains uncertain whether the general public will necessarily perceive the benefit, and hence be willing to pay for the privilege.

If you're looking for other virtual rides, like the famous Space Mountain roller coaster, tons of visitors have posted their own videos of the rides on YouTube too. Of course, not all the home-video shooting is great so beware of the DIY versions if you're prone to motion sickness.

Thanks to thrill ride enthusiasts, YouTube, GoPro cameras and 4K video, you can experience rides like Tron at Shanghai Disneyland and Jurassic World The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood through your computer or TV screen.

Thanks to the internet, a Disneyland day is closer than you might think. You can take the plunge on Splash Mountain, fly through Peter Pan's Flight, and escape the temple on Indiana Jone's Adventure without leaving your couch when you watch virtual Disneyland rides on YouTube. With these ride-through videos, it'll be like you're at the park, but don't have to deal with waiting in lines. All you really need to do is press "play" and it's like you're at The Happiest Place On Earth.
