The writing are on the wall as you read the beneath news .  It is often awkward for senior expert professional to self praise and push around the CV and give the stupid interviews ..  There is a subtle way to reach the start up where they can with low compensation but equity holding are finding more freedom and satisfaction .. Ultimately perform and earn more than they ever would have thought in the present assignment.

I happen to be privy of such start ups and would be too happy to have such talents on my radar always

More professionals joining start-ups to create value: Experts

NEW DELHI: An increasingly large number of experienced and high profile professionals are associating with start-ups, attracted by the exciting opportunity of building up a business from scratch, say experts.

With India's high economic growth providing huge opportunities for value creation in new businesses across sectors, established professionals with big corporates are shifting to new companies to tap the vast growth potential.

"We're seeing this shift as more opportunities come up with start-ups and developing businesses, especially with the growth of new technology and advertising techniques," Jeffrey Hayzlett, author of several business best sellers, and former CMO & Vice President of Eastman Kodak, told PTI.

"It brings together a marriage of skills from old marketing with excitement of advancements in advertising and other industries. It's also a way to stay energised about an industry by working with emerging firms," said Hayzlett, who recently joined the advisory board of newly launched iVdopia, an advanced mobile advertising platform and network.

Executive search firm GlobalHunt Director Sunil Goel confirmed the rising trend of established professionals and experts joining start-ups and growing firms in the country.

"They are seasoned professionals and are the first preference of start ups for the driving seat. Spending good duration in a large and established set up gives them a lot of learning, they get to know how to drive a business model and learn innovative ideas and successful models," Goel said.

Ashish Kashyap, former country head of Google India, set up the India business of Internet and mobile products provider Ibibo.com, which has grown significantly in span of just four years since its inception.

"Creating value from scratch is very exciting and this motivated me to turn towards entrepreneurship. At ibibo we embrace the consumers' requirements while developing a new product," Kashyap said.

On the reasons as to why new companies prefer established professionals on their advisory boards, Hayzlett said, "such roles allow firms to reap benefits of experience and knowledge from these professionals while those joining the board find fulfillment in helping these companies grow and teaching start-ups what they've learned."
