Thestatement said the "combined Japanese and United States teams" that have been scouring the waters around the small island of Yakushima "had a breakthrough when their surface ships and dive teams were able to locate remains along with the main fuselage of the aircraft wreckage. The dive teams were able to confirm five additional crew members from the original team of eight that were involved with the crash."

It said two of the five crew members found in the fuselage Monday had been recovered and there was "an ongoing combined effort to recover the remaining crew members from the wreckage." The Air Force declined to identify the five people found inside the wreckage on Monday.

Only one of the total eight crew members' remains had been found before Monday. That person was identified last week by the Air Force as Staff Sgt. Jacob Galliher, 24. The young father from Massachusetts had been assigned to the 43rd Intelligence Squadron as a direct support operator.

The Air Force said the U.S. aircraft carrier Carl Vinson, its air wing and other assets including unmanned vehicles had joined the search operation. Divers were also taking part in the huge search operation.

Last week's crash of the U.S. Air Force CV-22 was the first-ever fatal Osprey accident in Japan. The aircraft, assigned to Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, had been on a training flight. It departed from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Yamaguchi Prefecture but then requested an emergency landing on the tiny island of Yakushima just before crashing off of its shore.

Some pieces of the wreckage found in the water have been handed over to the U.S. military, which has exclusive rights to investigate the accident under the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) with Japan.

Japan's Ministry of Defense said the U.S. has a total of six Ospreys based at Yokota and 24 at the Futenma base on Okinawa. The hybrid aircraft was first deployed in Japan over a decade ago, able to take off and land vertically like a helicopter, it can then change the angle of its rotors to fly like a plane, at high speed.

If all of the crew members died on the Osprey that went down off Yakushima last week, it will be the deadliest accident involving the aircraft ever. There have been a spate of fatal U.S. Osprey crashes in recent years, however, most recently during a multinational training exercise on an Australian island in August, which killed three U.S. Marines and left eight others hospitalized.

Mainichi, a left-of-center newspaper, urged Tokyo to insist on participating in the investigation into last week's crash and said Japan's continued sidelining after serious military accidents underscored the need for revisions to the bilateral agreement under which Japan hosts tens of thousands of U.S. forces.

The incident is straining U.S.-Japan relations just as Tokyo rushes to fortify its southwest flank amid China's aggressive expansion in the region, and it could scuttle Japan's efforts to gain local support for a planned deployment of Ospreys in the southwest Saga Prefecture in 2025.

The school had been dismissed a few minutes before the crash. Parents played with their children in the nearby playground. Some parents waited in their cars for children participating in after-school activities.

The parking lot is usually quiet. The church sits back from State Street uphill from the road. The parking lot is shielded from road noise by trees planted across the parking lot islands and along the front of the property.

She was learning to ride the motorcycle. Her teacher was her father who was instructing her in the parking lot of St. Paul Church on North State. A police officer said she lost control of the motorcycle striking a curb and launching the bike across a road at the church. The bike ended up striking a tree ejecting her. Despite wearing a helmet, she suffered a head injury.

I\u2019ve started writing this newsletter several times trying to find a way to tell the story of this photo where Westerville firefighters and a police officer quietly discuss a motorcycle crash that took the life of a woman Wednesday afternoon.

It was mid-afternoon. A line of cars snaked through a portion of the St. Paul Catholic Church parking lot to pick up plants and flowers from the school\u2019s annual garden sale. This year\u2019s sale was larger than last year\u2019s which meant more cars through the lot.

Sometimes, when I arrive at the scene of a crash a police officer or firefighter will come to me to tell me the injury is severe. They do it out of respect for the victim and to keep me informed. This was one of those times. I usually don\u2019t stay very long at this type of scene. I try to concentrate on photos of first responders doing what they are trained for. Photos of a distressed victim are not among the photos I require.

I\u2019m always amazed watching the medics, firefighters, and police in severe crashes. It seems everything is moving in slow motion. The first responders have a well-choreographed dance where each has a task that shares a purpose with the others. They are intertwined yet independent.

Today I witnessed the gentleness with which they quietly lifted the injured woman onto the stretcher. How they shared the weight of her body gliding it into position for the mechanical chest compression machine to work properly. Deliberately loaded into the medic, they steadied her movement as the vehicle left the parking lot for St. Ann\u2019s Hospital.

I returned later in the afternoon as the crash investigation team marked, measured, and recorded the particulars of the crash scene. The department\u2019s drone used flight guidance software to record a three\u2014dimensional map of the scene. Soon everyone left, the crash scene cleared.

i also had a crashing issue when i played the ps4 version a couple of weekends ago, but I was able to resume from the point it crashed as it was constantly auto-saving between the various cutscenes. so if your able to load into the game, you could try just skipping all the cutscenes until you are able to make the final choice as the trophies would pop after the choice and on the cutscene right before the credits roll. For some reason playing the ps4 version on ps5, the game cant keep up with how fast the ps5 is moving.

I also have ps+ so I tried deleting saves and importing them to the cloud, reinstalling the game, importing the saves back and the problem is still there. I even tried replaying the last part of the 5th chapter before the final cutscene and it still did nothing. It keeps crashing in the exact same place during the final cutscene. I really hope they patch it because at this point I'm starting to hate the game after having to go through this so many times and not being able to skip dialogue.

The game worked fine before. bunch of people including me got platinums for PS4 and PS5 versions. it seems to be a new patch that broke something. No need to be salty about FuLl pRiCe GaMe!!!111, noone forced you to buy it at full price, Glitches happen, the game worked like a charm before that patch, so it seemed to be throughouly tested.

Mine did the same thing twice on my PS5 during the boring dialogue on the roof with Gabe. Crashed in the middle of the dialogue. I had to save my file to the cloud, and then load it up off the cloud onto the PS4. It worked fine then. Serious pain though. And what about people who do not have a PS4? There is no way to get past that glitch. I tried twice.

Had the same problem playing on ps5. On the final dialogue of chapter 5 with Gabe the game crashed. Had to put my save on cloud and play it on my ps4 to finally get the platinum. Hope the ps5 version when I play it have no problems?

I'm still having that problem on PS4. It keeps crashing in the same place. I wanted to play the DLC but it won't let me because I haven't finished the main game because of that crash. I really have no idea what to do anymore. I replayed the part before the final scene a few times, trying to see if maybe I can get a different ending but it doesn't work and the boring last cutscene is still the same and crashes every time. I'm seriously so sick of this game right now because of this.

Again, I'm thinking about replaying the whole of the last chapter but not being able to skip dialogue and cutscenes would make it infuriating. I reported the problem like 5 times already after some crashes. I hope a patch comes out or this game will seriously stay ruined for me.

I've got exactly the same problem (except I'm playing on PS4 Pro), the game always crashes at that same point in the final cutscene preventing me from completing the game. I've now tried it three times. Also update history shows version 1.01 and application information shows version 1.04.
