Dear BSNA and GBC Family,
Greetings on the occasion of Guru Purnima/Vyas Purnima
We pay our utmost respect to our all Guru-s
The day is celebrated on Asadh Shukla Purnima by paying reverence to Guru-s. A guru is a realized soul who has attained his/her ultimate potential and has become enlightened. His/her light pulls the unenlightened seekers towards him/her. The guru Principle is said to be a thousand times more active on the day of Guru Purnima than on any other day.
The word guru is derived from two words, gu and ru. The Sanskrit root gu means darkness or ignorance and ru means the remover of darkness. Therefore, a guru is one who removes the darkness of our ignorance and shows us the path of realization. Also the word guru means one who is more consolidated, crystallized, and has more weight. His/her very presence is magnetic and we get naturally pulled towards him/her.
This festival also has great importance for Indian academics and scholars as they celebrate this day by remembering and paying respect to their teachers and scholars.
