I'm putting on a 3d Print and Design workshop this Saturday April 24th
at Jigsaw Renaissance new 1026 Madison location.
It's from 2pm to 4pm (may run as late as 6pm).
details below...
An introduction to 3d Printing and Design with a Makerbot Cupcake CNC
Rep(St)rap.
The workshop will encompass a brief history of open-source Rep(St)rap
printers, their capabilities, and possible future.
We'll go over the steps it takes to design and print from a Rep(St)rap
machine.
There will be an "experimental" part of the workshop where the class
will collaboratively design a (small) printable object which we'll
then print out in class.
The whole design process from idea, to computer model, to physical
object can take less than 2hrs for simple designs.
The instructor will guide the design process, operate the CAD
software, and Makerbot printer.
