Installation Error

I am trying to do an initial install.  The java control panel shows no references to Satscape in Applications or Resources.
This is Windows XP with Java 1.6_00_33 and Java3D v1.5.  Both check out as good on the chemgapedia java test link.

When I double-click Satscape.jar file it generates a file 'error.log' in the Documents and Settings/<user>/satscape directory.
It is unable to find the smallsql driver to create the smallsql database:

Hi Rolf, it sounds like the "lib" folder is missing, from the download you should have Satscape.exe and a folder called "lib". The lib folder contains smallsql.jar which is what the error is saying is missing. Also, did you get the download from the official site, there's a few older versions on various other ham sites etc.

If you unpack the Satscape ZIP file it creates a folder named "Satscape_lib"
I renamed that folder to "lib" and after that i could start Satscape again.
 
Also the Satellite Data is working again  :o)

I got the file off of your satscape.info/home site.

The problem is the ZIP file has the 'lib' files all going to a directory Satscape_lib directory.

When I renamed the directory 'Satscape_lib' to 'lib' all works as advertised.

I downloaded it directly from the satscape.info/home website.

The names inside the zip file have all the 'lib' files going to a directory 'Satscape_lib'.

I renamed that directory to 'lib' and all works.
