Just installed Satscape on Windows XP.  All of the satellites that came with this program, under groups, show "No data available for this satellite", even after an update.

I tried locally loading the file and URL under Add New Group for both of these:
http://celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/amateur.txt
http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/keps/current/nasa.all

But no luck.  It still shows "No data available for this satellite."

The only satellites that display on the maps are the ISS and NOAA 18.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks for your help.

From the Satscape web page:
Due to various changes to my web site host, the database file containing uplink/download frequencies is no longer automatically downloaded. I shall re-instate this feature at some point, but for now, you can do it manually, if you download the database file, and (if you’re on windows 7) place it into your/User/YOURNAME/satscape/ folder along with the other files.

Hello,

Thanks for the tip.
I'll try to fix it manually.
Otherwise i'll wait till the option is fixed in a new version of Satscape.

Thank you for helping me.

Hi

I've downloaded this on a mac ios10.7.2 and get the same results, i.e. no data available for this satellite. Any suggestions on how to get the info for the amateur radio satellites would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
did you try the temporary solution mentioned above (download the DB file and place it in folder)

Hi,

I did try the temp solution but it didn't work for me.
So i'm afraid i have to wait for the next Satscape update.
