2D 7 3D view not opening

I must admit upfront I have not followed the group recently and not use Satscape for about a year. But today I opened the program and to check out some passes for the ISS. the Pass Predictions worked fine, but when I attempted to open 2D or 3D view neither would open. Both just sat there and said :"Initializing" but never opened. If this subject has been around recently I apologize. but if anyone can help me fix, I'd appreciate.

This worked for me. I uninstalled and then downloaded java6 and reinstalled as per below

Hi all, 
Sometime around the 20th September 2011, there was an update to Java3D 
and it wasn't digitally signed, so won't run. This will cause your 
Satscape to not start up at all, so I've now done away with this 
method of installing and updating and gone for a more basic approach. 

So please go to http://www.satscape.info/home/ ?q=node/2 scroll down to 
the download section and follow steps 2 and 3 to get Satscape up and 
running again. One bonus is that it will now start up slightly 
faster! 

It will still continue to run as normal, updating the Keplerian 
elements and database automatically for you, but the program itself 
won't self-update. You can subscribe to my RSS feed 
http://feeds.feedburner.com/ SatscapeNews to kept up-to-date with any 
new updates to Satscape, which I'll admit haven't been much lately, 
but I may be tinkering with it soon, still a few things I want to add 
and fix.
