Hello all,

I don't see a lot of activity in the group so I hope someone can help me.

I am having the same trouble as the poster named "Pak" his problem was " I opened the program and to check out some passes for the ISS. the Pass Predictions worked fine, but when I attempted to open 2D or 3D view neither would open. Both just sat there and said :"Initializing" but never opened. If this subject has been around recently I apologize. but if anyone can help me fix, I'd appreciate it"

Same deal here.

I d/ld the program and tried to unzip it and got 17 errors it wouldn't unzip until I made a TEST folder on the desktop and put it in there, then it unzipped. But after adding all my info in the SETTINGS area. I hit the 2D or 3D and got just what the other user did. It just sat there and did nothing saying " initializing" I was a able to generate pass predictions ONLY for the ISS and one other NOAA bird that was it. No globe or map on the screen at all. I was never able to get a list of current sats either when I tried to choose another one nothing showed up.

I tried deleting the user file and starting over, again no joy.

The OS is a new install of Win 7 64  the latest version of Java and a fast video card. I need a Win based tracking program because I can't use the DOS based STSPLUS program that has served me for so many years. RIP: David Ransom <sigh>

Ideas anyone? Currently I have removed all traces of SATSCAPE from the drive.

Thank you

II found the only way to make SS run and display the maps was to add the 64 bit version of JAVA,....Now it seems to run fine except I can't SHUT IT OFF!! It won't close when I click the "X"

I have to use TASK MANAGER to make it shut down. From one thing to another... is there a fix for this??

thank you
