Sacred Scriptures   Bhaktachintamani- contains 164 chapters written by Sadguru Niskulanand Swami in the village of Gadhapur on Samvat 1887 . This book is written in the language of Gujarati and is sung like a gospel. This book is verified by Lord Swaminarayan himself. This book contains divine incidents of our manifest Lord Swaminarayan and his saints and devotees. Each and every line in this book has a relationship with Lord Swaminarayan himself. This is the genuine feature of this book.  Satsangijivan- is the authorized biography of Lord Swaminarayan. The book contains information on the life and teachings of Lord Swaminarayan. It was written by Shatanand Swami and completed in 1829. Satsangijivan comprises 19,387 Shlokas (verses) among 360 Chapters, in 5 Volumes. It incorporates: the constitution of the Sampradaya, the details of festivals, rituals, vows of the disciples, and elaborates philosophical principles and the life of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.   Did You Know?   According to the Upanishads a person breathes around 21,600 times a day. It is broken up into two parts, day and night. Therefore, during the day we breathe 10,800 times and at night we breathe 10,800 times. Because it is not practical for us to chant the name of god during every breathe, we should chant god’s name at least 108 times. Every time we chant the mantra, its fruit is multiplied by a 100. Hence, if we chant it 108 times it will really equal to 10,800.   Festival Of The Month: Shri HariJayanti   Shri Hari Jayanti is celebrated to mark the manifestation of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in Chhapiya, near Ayodhya. He incarnated at 10:10pm on Chaitra Sud 9, Samvat 1837 (April 3rd, 1781 CE). The main aim for his incarnation was to show the right way of living to humans and to grant them ultimate salvation. All through his exemplary life he did many things for the betterment of human life. The auspicious day of Shri Hari Jayanti is celebrated by recollecting all his teachings, principals and divine incidents.   Youth Shibir 2014 Youth Shibir 2014 is just around the corner as the summer is coming closer.
