The eighth edition of MahaQuizzer will be held in Bangalore, Chennai,
Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, New Delhi,
Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Panaji, Coimbatore, Thrissur and Mysore on
Sunday 27th May 2012.
MahaQuizzer is the National Solo Quizzing Championship.
It is open to all, though we recommend that the taker be at least 12
years of age. The quiz will require takers to answer 150 questions in
90 minutes--in celebration of the ethic of working out questions.
Entry is free in most centres; some quiz associations may charge a
nominal entry fee to recover venue costs.
The setters are: Mitesh Agarwal, Urmila Lakshmanan, Vivek Kartikeyan,
Rajagopal P.S., and Rahul Kottalgi.
Prizes will be awarded in each city for the best performances from
School, College, Lady and Open entrants. In addition, the all-India
winner will receive the Wing Commander GR Mulky Memorial Trophy for
Quizzing Excellence at the three-day KQA Anniversary Celebrations in
June (29, 30 June and 1 July). We will also put up a list of the top
100 scores in India.
It is always a good idea to register well in advance. This will allow
us to make adequate arrangements for seating and for question-papers.
