Dave,

God Bless you and your wife, as you travel this journey.  It is a difficult one for sure.  They just built an assisted living home close to us for Alzheimer's patients which I think is great.  I am sure Samba visits your wife in her dreams.

Anne,

I am so happy Lady is still doing well, and that she now has siblings.  Give her big kisses for me, please!

That's wonderful that you and Bob help at the MSPCA and adopted 2 pups there.  I know what you mean about wanting to bring them all home.

Petra,

I am so sorry Zoe went to heaven.  She was such a beautiful girl, and I will never forget meeting her at Salem.  I hope you are well.

Richard,

I am so sorry Gabriella also went to heaven.  You made me smile - because I understand what you mean that she was someone you knew before.  I felt Gypsy was sent by Muffie our first dog.  She was born when Muffie died, and we found her 3 weeks after we moved to CT.  We got Muffie 3 weeks after we bought our first house.  Personalities were so similar.

Tony,

I am soo happy you are doing well, and still enjoying your kitty buddy.

It's really nice to catch up with everyone.  I am sad so many of our Satos have left for heaven.  I might have adopted another one of Gloria's dogs, but the CT shelters are no longer working with SAS.

We still have Morgan the Pirate Gato, and the little guy will be 10 this year.  Amazing because he wasn't supposed to make it to 1.  His diabetes has been pretty much under control, and happily his "makes no sense" medical issues have been limited the past few years.

We also still have Miss Willow, the Gato jackhammered out of the storm drain.  She has a very sassy latina personality and makes us laugh. She will come over and body rub you, jump on your lap - pet her - she'll hiss and swat you.  Pet her in her bed, on a cat condo - she'll purr and snuggle in.  Funny cat.

Gizmo the Yorkie gets along great with the cats, and is just a sweet little guy.  I laughed when after we adopted him - they posted a picture of Gloria at the shelter with a Yorkie.   I think Gypsy set that one up - she adored Gloria.

Please stay in touch!  You're welcome to e-mail me at gypsy...@sbcglobal.net

Donna

Yes, it has been fun to hear from people again.

Dave, no one knows Alzheimers better than one who is going or has gone through it. I went through it with my dad and Don's brother was in his mid 50's and passed at 62. Stay strong. It is a tough journey for all; the ill person, the caregivers and the entire family. Try to be good to yourself.

I did forget to tell you all one other thing; not only did I loose my prescious Pebbles 12/1/14, I also lost my husband in September 2012. I'm hoping Pebbles is with him and getting to know all our other "critters". He was buried with full military honors at the Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, Ct and I was allowed 4 words to put on his headstone. That is why I wanted to share this with all the Sato lovers that I met and/or chatted with. I wanted something that meant something only to us and we used to talk about it all the time. His gravestone is inscribed with;

"Meet At Rainbow Bridge"

Be kinder than necessary-
Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
