Well, Pebbles and I are here dealing with a disabled dad. It's been a long road and there is no end in sight. There may never be one. Pebbles is probably the healthiest one in the house! LOL! Hi There,
Yes, it has been a long time. I hope everyone is well. We had to say a heart breaking final good-bye to our sweet Zoe last month. It has left a huge hole. She is so missed. She was 11 years and three months. We had her for a little over 11 yrs. It was at that time the Sato forum was pretty new. Where does the time go.
Wishing everyone our best.
Regards,
Petra
Dave,
That is such a rougher road than ours even though ours appears to have no end either, Been down your road twice with my dad and his brother who was only 64 when he passed. It's so very hard and I'm glad Samba is a good "therapy" dog. My dad was really attached to their dog and my two mutts, but sadly he never got to meet Pebbles. He would have loved her.
Unfortunately, Don is not as close to Pebbles as I am. His "therapy" was our Maine Coon Woody. They were like velcro. Well, Woody had several health issues and we believe HE decided it was his time as on 9/11/11 he went out in the morning and never came home. It's hard to have no closure, Petra,
So sad to hear about Zoe. She was great and Pebbles had a great time on the several visits they had even if she DID try to protect Chris from Zoe. LOL! It was fun to take them both to the reunion in Mass and our smaller reunion at your home was a blast! You will always miss her, but time will make it easier to take comfort in the memories you have of her.
Best wishes to all and just take one day at a time. That is the only thing that keeps US sane. |

Hello,
Tony is living large in Melrose with Harvey the cat.
He makes friends every day and as beautiful as he was as a puppy.
Hope there's a reunion this year. We'll look forward to it.

Maggie (formerly Christina) is living in Brookline with my wife, me and soon our baby son. We've had her for 7 years and she's around 10 now. She's getting a little cranky toward other dogs in her old age, but otherwise she's doing well. Here's to hoping there are many more years.
Donna,
Glad your crew is well. Hugs from Missy P, the official P.R.PD! LOL! Very glad to hear that Eric remains clear.
Life has gotten so very complicated for so many of us, it's sad. I sometimes just want to run away from home.
Ruth,
Gee, and I thought I was the only one with an "expensive Sato". LOL! Missy Pebbles also has had ACL repairs on both legs. She will be 13 this summer ( it makes me sad-I want her to be 2 again) and the surgerys were done in Dec 2008 and June 2010. My vet said they are now thinking it is congenital and it is very common for the second leg to tear within a year to a year and a half after the first one. She also said that if she wasn't aware that she had had the surgeries, she couldn't tell because her knees are very strong and show no arthritis. She does get a little stiff, but the Dasuquin is a big help.
Hope we hear from more people and always remember,

Bob and I are doing fine and Lady is doing GREAT!! She is now totally blind from the Glaucoma (nasty disease) but gets around better than ever. She also seems to feel better than ever, no more medicine to have to take. We managed to put off the blindness for five years but eventually it took over. Her attitude is so great that it is impossible to feel sorry for her. It was nice to read your email , Donna, we have missed talking to you.
Anne, Bob and Lady
