I hope these pictures come through. I know this has nothing to do with Sato's but I just have to share. It will make you all smile! We have had a pair of swans in the pond in front of work for years. Last year some idiot brutally murdered our momma; shot her while she was on the nest. 0ur male, who I call big bird, tried to hatch the eggs to no avail. It was heart breaking and senseless. Since they mate for life, we were quite delighted to see that big bird had wooed another lovely lady and we all became like expectant parents once she started nesting. Lo and behold about 45 days later, a picture circulated the shop with momma and 3 little ones, but she had not left the nest. Usually they kick them right in to the pond. LOL! That same week, we found out she wasn't done hatching and that the total was 8. Here are pictures from Friday the 11th so they are 8 days old. The darker colored ones are the males and the white ones the females. Initially we all agreed we had 6 girls and 2 boys but they have been changing. We don't care so long as we maintain our 8.

WOW wonderful !!  The forum may be about Sato's  but it is about People and community. My activity on a big Alzheimer's group is about AD but the members stories about their farms and daily personal stuff makes the glue that  holds it together.

Thank you for sharing these pictures with us.  The swans and babies are so beautiful.  How could anyone hurt them.

Marcia,

They sure don’t look like the ugly ducklings that Hans Christian Anderson wrote his song about.  They are absolutely beautiful.  Thanks for sharing them.

Bob, Anne, and Lady
