My Gabriella went to the rainbow bridge some time ago. I know she’ll be waiting for me there. Meanwhile, I have a couple of other rescues. Two cats- a brother and sister; their pregnant mom was found and taken to a foster group where she had a litter of eight. And two dogs. A Belgian malenious mix named Fauna and a Chihuahua who was part of a dog hoarder house (we think. I was all over the news here and a couple of months later the shelter was full of chihuahua mixes) Her name is Pearl. She is black and she is named for the pirate ship The Black Pearl.

We still have Willow the Gato jack hammered out of a storm drain.   Sadly we lost Gypsy, Amber and Morgan.   We now have a rescue Yorkie named Gizmo. He was pulled from Death Row in NYC.   Donna

Hi Donna and all,

We still have Lady (17 years old) but old age is hitting her hard now.  She has been totally blind for quite a few years but no one knew if we didn’t tell them.  Lately she has been in corners, unable to find her way out.  She walks fine but can no longer run, and has started the battle with incontinence.  It probably will not be long, I have shed many, many tears and I know there are hoards more to come!!!  She does not appear to be in any pain so we are just coddling her.  We did get a part Chihuahua, part Rat Terrier three years ago.  Took two years to quiet her down but she finally has.  This week she starts her training for Therapy Dog, licensed and all.  She was a rescue dog also.

Anne - I am so glad you still have Lady! 17 is amazing. I can relate to everything you are saying - Gypsy did the same as she got to that age. We lost her when she was 18.

Awesome on the Therapy 🐕 dog training!!

Gizmo would be perfect for that. He's so gentle and loves everyone.

Sounds like a houseful!! Must be fun with the size difference of the pups. Hoarders​ are so sad. Glad the little ones were rescued.

Laughing at Pearl - my Escape is the Black Pearl. With Morgan it had to be a pirate ship.
