We miss the fun and silliness of the "old" Sato Forum - hoping we can
bring the fun back!

Thanks Dave for starting this!

Glad to hear from you.

I tried to connect to SAS,org and unable to connect to their web site.

I invited over 260 members of the old forum. It would be nice to bring
the fun back.'

Bob, Lady, and I are still here. It's nice to know that you all are still
here also. Lady is doing fine. We think she is pretty much totally blind
now but she is the happiest little girl that you would want to meet. It is
difficult to feel badly for her because she does not feel badly for herself!

I am soo happy Lady is doing well! I've thought of you all many times
Anne!

It's amazing how well they can do even with vision issues - the other
senses come in and take over.

I wonder if SAS got dropped from their web host or something. I
couldn't connect to it either.

Our gang is doing well - Gypsy is still Miss Serious, Amber a total
clown. Morgan happily is doing well too. We adopted a new baby Gato
early December 2010 - he's a Siamese mix who was jack hammered out of
a storm drain, and then lived in a parking lot. Her name is Willow
and she's a total doll!

Can someone give an overview/history of the forum? We've had our sato for 4 years but I don't remember an active forum. What is it used for? Thanks.

Thanks for the background! Much appreciated. Attached are two pics of our sato who happily lives with us in Maine. :)

Hi Lisa,

The forum used to be a fun group to talk about the challenges and fun things about owning a Puerto Rican street dog - anything from picky eaters, to destuffing toys.

We also used to do fund raising to help Save A Sato,

The original forum kind of fell apart because of many things - rescuers who didn't care who/where/how they sent dogs as long as they were gone, adopters who would argue with each other and the list goes on?

I believe Dave is trying to bring some of the fun back to a group of people who truly love their animals

Hope that helps

Donna

Hi all!
Missy Pebbles, the official P.R.PD. is doing well. She will be 12 this summer. I HATE IT! I want her to be 2 again. She still beats up the cat and is a little slower after 2 torn ACL surgeries. She takes a glucosamine supplement now which helps her greatly. But she is a happy girl and we love to death. Since my huusband became disabled back in 2007 (and I got out sourced from a job I'd had for 28 years in 2005) Pebbles and the cat, Woody have been his constant companions. They keep him a little more sane than not. LOL! I'm so glad they are there for him. It would be great to hear from the old school forum members and of course from all the new ones who now understand the special creatures that Sato's AND Gato's are. I don't know what we would do without our little P.R.PD.
Marcia, Missy Pebblles and the stupid cat, Mr Woodster

Hi Donna,
It is so nice to be talking to you again. We have talked about you many
times, wondering how things were. It's nice to hear that Gypsy, Amber, and
Morgan are doing well. Please tell Gypsy that her "daughter" sends her
love! Bob just read that there is a Sato reunion coming up in Gloucester.
We will probably take Lady to that. She loves to sniff other dogs more than
ever now that she can't see then any more. Are you still working with the
shelter?
Bob, Anne and Lady
