You can either "soft" activate on your computer without addditional hardware or transfer the license to an iLok USB dongle which has to be purchased separately. The iLok dongle can be used to run the protected software on different computers. Your licenses can be easily manged using the iLok Licence Manager. To protect your investment against theft or loss we recommend the iLok Zero Downtime protection with TLC.

Ample China Dadi (ACDD) is built on the latest development of the Woodwind Sample Engine, with 5.8 GB samples, including head and body articulations, FX sounds, as well as a select collection of improvised licks.

The Auto Legato System detects the duration of each note. For legatos whose duration is less than this value, only the straight legato will be triggered to ensure that no unwanted grace notes are generated during fast performance.

The body group can be used for endless articulation legatos. For example, you can start with a Sustain, hold the note, then play the Expression Keyswitch (C1) to play legato to an Expression note; then play Marking keyswitch (E1) to play legato to a Marking note, and then press Laying keyswitch (F1) to play legato to a Laying note, and so on.

Playing the keyswitch when a note is sounding will reverse the sample at current position. It changes for example a Slide Up to Slide Down, or a Slow-Fast Vibrato to Fast-Slow Vibrato. It can also be used to control the sustained body of notes like Expression.

The sound of the woodwind without the Wind is very pure. Moderately control the volume of the Wind, and make some changes during the performance, can increase the feeling of "dirty" and breath, and improve the realism.

Beautifully sampled, the sound is incredible.

The most feature-rich and playable Guzheng on the market.

Huge amount of articulations- licks, scales, glisses, and more.

Easy to use interface.

A variety of tailor-made presets based on different tones and styles.

Amplesound has long been known for their excellent guitar libraries, so I was eager to try out their newer Ample China series. So far, this collection includes the Pipa, Guzheng, and most recently, the Qudi (a wind instrument). Needless to say, the library did not disappoint, offering a feature-rich library sampled with care and detail.

There are three separate layouts, or ways of playing the instrument: Keyboard mode, where each note is mapped across your keyboard, which gives you access to every tone the instrument can produce in any variety. For instance, an actual Guzheng is tuned to a major pentatonic scale, so you will only have access to a specific set of notes, you will not be able to play semitones or chromatic scales. This is in part what gives the instrument such a distinctive character, as this scale is closely tied to the traditional sound of Chinese music. In Keyboard mode, however, you can play the Guzheng just like you would a piano, and have access to the full chromatic scale.

Overall, the ornaments and tremolo performances are what really define the Guzheng, and I was truly impressed with how Amplesound handled these aspects of the library. There are a very wide variety of articulations on offer here, from standard plucked sustains, to harmonics, tremolo, almost every variety of bend, and even a full range of pre-determined glissandi as well as a variety of pre-recorded licks, which all sound simply incredible. The tone of this library overall is pure, pristine, with just the perfect amount of ambience for my taste. If you want a more dry signal, there are 5 mic positions available, so you can dial in practically any sound you desire.

New release from www.amplesound.net , our Ample China Qudi is now available! Qudi is a beautiful and delicate traditional Chinese flute built on the latest development of our Woodwind Sample Engine with 4.4 GB of samples, including head and body articulations, FX sounds, as well as a select collection of improvised licks.

Ample China Qudi was recorded with the uppermost respect to details and with collaboration from professional musician Xiaokui Ding (Principal woodwind player of the China National Traditional Orchestra. Member of the Golden Buddha Jazz Orchestra with Zhongruan master Mantian Feng, Jazz pianist Hongwei Kong.)

-There are 4 velocity layers for Expression articulation, 2 velocity layers for Vibrato articulation, and real samples of Trill sounds. Together with SAHDS virtual modulation system, they can create vivid and realistic notes. Note velocity is used to control the start time of Expression and Vibrato articulations, to generate slowly developing notes or strong notes.

Each voice has its own SAHDS modulation envelope. You can get natural and realistic vibratos while keeping the Mod wheel in one position. The mod speed, gain, and pitch can also be adjusted.

Adjustable Wind Effect

The Wind is the sound of air blowing in the Dizi tube. We extracted this sound from each real sample to enable the independent control of this element. The sound of the Dizi without the Wind is very pure. Moderately control the volume of the Wind and make some changes during the performance can increase the feeling of "dirty" breath, and improve the realism.

Other new features include sample skipping technology, random articulation, keyboard mode for playing chords etc.

There are several available, but there is not yet one great Erhu out there. I think with the technology of the Qudi, Amplesound could do it. An Ample Sound Erhu as good as the Qudi would become a necessary buy for anybody doing not just Chinese music, but world music.

I'm working on a YouTube video comparing all the Yangqin virtual instruments currently available, so I'd of course be interested in what you could do there, but there is already one superb Yangqin on the market. I have no doubt Ample Sound could do something that would be equally good and take a different approach.

I would love to hear an Ample Duduk. The Duduk is the only non-virtual world flute I own. But Tarilonte's is really good and I think that Ample Sound is poised to take Chinese instruments further than anybody aside from Three-Body Technology. We need you!

+1 to the Erhu. One of my personal favs. An older gentleman was playing one in a park in Beijing a few years back and the person I was with suggested asking him to play it. I just shook my head at the time but said as we walked away, "That is one of the rudest things you could ever do to a musician performing."

At 15.8 million square feet, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai is the largest convention facility of its kind in the world. The massive complex has a unique four-leaf-clover shape, with four main exhibit halls totaling 5.4 million square feet branching off from a central plaza. In preparation for the inaugural China International Import Expo, an international trade fair proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, the facility underwent extensive renovations in 2018. Among its renovations to elevate its facilities, NECC wanted cutting-edge audio systems that deliver pristine sound and an enhanced experience for attendees at the expo and other large-scale events.
