HomeDepot.com is developing a new cloud based ecommerce platform using Cassandra and Java based Rest services to better serve our customers with innovative ways to shop with first of its kind capabilities. 

Do you have solid Java, back end webservices, and frameworks like Spring? Love coding, performance testing and figuring out the best way to approach a problem? Have solid chops in public Cloud Technologies within a online retail, dot com or ecommerce type company on web based application development?

If you are an experienced software developer who is passionate about driving overall architecture, writing code and loves to build distributed and highly transactional, scalable, high throughput, fault tolerant and always available system with previous experience working on cloud platform apps…then lets talk!

Some other must haves:

  • 6+ years of software development experience, from inception to production
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related
  • Solid design and coding skills in Java and Spring framework (including data/batch/boot)
  • Experience building high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
  • 3+ years previous experience building and developing a cloud/cassandra platform in AWS, Azure andor Google Cloud needed
  • Sense of ownership for the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application, serving as a technical lead on midsize to large, complex projects

This is a FTE Perm salaried position onsite with our awesome team in Austin. Competitive salary 100K+ and bonus/benefits/RSU.
