Hey guys,
Been a while since we've had some posts here but I'm sending this out just in case. If you're interested in latest news for the JUG please join our meetup at https://www.meetup.com/San-Antonio-Java-User-Group/
If you haven't heard the news yet, VIA Metropolitan Transit is putting on a coding competition on Saturday May 20th! The details around the competition are a little light right now but I've put in a request for more information. If I hear something I'll relay it to the group. In the mean time you can find more info at http://www.gocodesa.com/.
The next two meetings have been scheduled so take a look at the group's calendar and RSVP so we know you're coming. We'll be building a REST app using Spring Boot in May and in June we're going to be talking about using Web Sockets to build an interactive app. The July meeting falls on the 4th so we won't be meeting then. That said is there any interest in doing the meeting the following week on the 11th? Let us know. Speaking of letting us know, our short survey is still open. If you haven't filled it out it takes about 3 minutes, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NG6RY6W

Truth. However I happen to be the creator/owner of the website, so I think I can still request changes, redirects, or whatever :) Maybe the simplest thing is to request a redirect to the meetup page? Just say the word, and I'll see if I can make it happen.

I agree with you 100% however Oracle put the Java.NET sites on read-only mode a few months ago and they're shutting it down at the end of this month.

+1This list has lots of subscribers picked up over the years. It's also what the website at satjug.java.net directs people to. It would likely be good for the JUG's health to update the website. I haven't touched it in quite a while.
