Home Depot's Online Technology Group (Ecommerce) team is hiring! 

 

Our Online Technology Group is creating the newest offering for Home Depot and is key to our future growth. Our team is heading up an exciting new initiative to re-platform major portions of homedepot.com using the latest open source technologies and seek experienced Java Developers (Sr, Lead, Architect). We're looking for highly qualified technical innovators to help grow one of the largest, fastest-growing ecommerce web sites in the world.

-                 The Online Technology Group has directly contributed to the success of HomeDepot.com

-                 Top 10 largest Internet Retail Site

-                 Over 1 Billion visitors to the website last year with annual revenue of 4 Billion in online sales

-                 OTG is currently heading up new initiative to re-platform major portions of homedepot.com using the latest open source technologies, like Cassandra.

-                 We have deployed Nginx and Varnish for web server and caching platforms (Nginx is SW package that comes out of opensource)

-                 Brought Puppet in house to deploy weekly infrastructure releases

-                 Migrated the browse and navigation portions of the site off of Websphere Commerce onto a custom tomcat platform and in process of building our own custom ecommerce platform

 

6+ years SDLC experience

4+ years using Java, J2EE, Tomcat, Spring, MVC, Web Services, Ecommerce, GIT, JSON, XML, REST Technologies, TDD, CD, CI, and Development Cloud etc.

3+ years’ experience with ecommerce platforms such as ATG Commerce, WebSphere WCS

2+ years of experience leading one or more engineering teams on large-scale ecommerce initiatives that work in high transactional environments

Plus Proficient in fundamentals of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis etc.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field desired

All our positions are full-time salaried employees of Home Depot which consists of competitive salary with benefits, bonus and relocation assistance. You will work onsite with our Online Technology Group either in Dallas or Austin.

 

The ideal candidate would have spent a good number of years at each company and not a lengthy contract career.  We’re are only accepting US Citizens or Permanent Residents at this time and no contractors.
