The opentype pro package deal of this font includes nearly 900 characters in step with weight, including small caps, fractions, antique fashion and lining numbers, medical advanced/inferior figures, complete ordinal and inferior alphabet, and a hard and fast of symbols and arrows.

Avantgarde BK BT Book Font is a first-rate font that was designed and posted for the primary time by means of fontke. This unique font is an exquisite font that may be used for your internet site, brand layout and anywhere else you want. This TrueType typeface...

I went into the Styles palette and selected a sans-serif paragraph font 'Adelle-Sans', and saved that. Prior to that I had been using Merriweather.

YET in 7.1 preview, the paragraph font continues to display like a Times Roman/generic serif font. I have never used that font on this website. I cleared my cache, and still that font displays.

I contacted Squarespace Help, and they were not particularly helpful. The only thing they offered was that there must be some code still in place. There is not. I did the site so I know what the customizations were.

Hmmm rather difficult to help with whatever might be going on when in preview mode, as you can't share what's going on. Have you tried duplicating the website and then going fully through the upgrade to 7.1 process on that duplicate website, see what happens?

The intermediate weights deliver a neutral look when used in text sizes, providing the usual robustness expected in a newspaper font. The unobtrusive appearance, excellent texture, and slightly dark colour allow it to behave flawlessly in continuous text, even in the most unforgiving editorial applications. As it becomes larger in print, Adelle shows its personality through a series of measured particularities which make it easy to remember and identify. Its energetic character, so inherent to slab serif fonts, becomes evident when used for subheadings and headlines.

I have a document that has styles set up with Adelle PE that was access from Adobe Fonts - and now that font is missing and is replaced with a font called Adelle. My colleague who also accesses this document still has the Adelle PE version and not the Adelle. This issue has just poped up in the last couple of days. How do I fix this issue!

The document was designed using Adobe Font - Adelle PE (on the cloud) all the styles are set up this way... Somehow the creative cloud has been updated and it is no longer alled Adelle PE on the cloud it is called Adelle... My computer is showing all kinds of errors but my colleague doesn't have this problem their system is still accessing Adelle PE... So I can't just change it on my system as it will show up as missing fonts on her machine... I'm not sure how exporting to a PDF will be helpful? It's a document/template that needs to accessed/used many more time after this...

I'm also having this problem. All of my colleagues are still able to view and use Adelle PE as normal, but for me it's listed as a missing font that I can't source from anywhere. I've been trying everything and searching everywhere for a fix, but have found nothing... Adobe needs to come to the rescue.

I learned that Adobe has discontinued Adelle PE. If you had it activated before it was discontinued, it might be fine(?) If you deactivate it, you won't be able to get it back. I found that a switch to plain Adelle causes reflow problems, a major headache.

Adobe has discontinued other fonts before (ex: Benton Sans), which is so frustrating. (And costly if you later need to buy a font family or take the time to find something else.) Nothing makes a designer more angry than discontinuing fonts that were once available. Not cool.

Just went through the same gyrations with my design team. Found this community thread while doing a simple Google search for Adelle PE. Glad I found it before wasting any more time trying to figure it out. Time to swap out fonts in several design files.

Just found this thread after I sent an annual report to the printer and they said "Adelle PE" was missing and not available with the Creative Cloud subscription. Once again, Adobe is making it harder to do my job. There is no way I'm going to replace "Adelle PE" with "Adelle" when this project is at the printer and already on a tight deadline. What a nightmare and no way around it. Why? Adobe WHY???

Your browser actually contacts the typekit servers and then they serve the fonts directly to your browser, so typically when you see this it is because the typekit servers are overloaded, having issues, or there is an issue on the internet somewhere between your browser and the typekit servers. Oh and add in another one: possibly there are issues with the invisible proxy servers at your ISP and they are not pulling the fonts, are over loaded or something like that.

Thanks for the info thesacredpath, very informative. Lately, this seems to be happening all the time (for both myself and other visitors to my site). Is there perhaps a way to implement this font via CSS so I can bypass using Typekit entirely?

This commercial type family was chosen for its dependability and origins in urban signage and engineering. It is extremely flexible, and available in multiple weights, including a Narrow variation in all weights.

Adelle is a modern slab serif that bridges the divide between tradition and modernity. This serif typeface and its companion sans serif typeface Adelle Sans serve as the secondary typefaces for use in designed materials.

When you create a new blank document, any text you type appears in the default font, which is called Calibri, at a font size of 11 points, which is a standard size for text in everyday documents (such as letters or reports).

Well, I want to import a new Font to my application but without success. I have the Fonts provided by application key in my .plist , I have my font in the Item 0 as a String and the value AdelleBasic_Bold.otf, I have added that Font to my project, and I am trying to use it with:

This may well not true for all fonts, but in my experience, Xcode can be fussy, & I've never been able to get it to use otf fonts (anyone who has please post!), so I've always converted my fonts using this really excellent website - Online Font Converter

I've seen some comments about tff and otf and I wouldn't agree, it could be that you are not using the correct font name, this doesn't mean the file nameto find the fonts you have installed in xcode run the

Adelle is a serif font. It goes well with Helvetica Neue, Visby CF, Brandon Grotesque, Proxima Nova, Gesta, Pluto Sans, Lucida Grande, Freight Sans Pro, Avenir Next and Fira Sans. If you're thinking about using Adelle then try 36px for headers. Give 16px a shot for content.

Adelle is a modern sans-serif typeface designed by Veronika Burian and Jos Scaglione in 2010. It was released by TypeTogether, a type foundry founded by the two designers. Adelle has a humanist design, with a slight calligraphic influence. Its letterforms are characterized by soft curves and generous proportions, giving the font a friendly and approachable feel. Its design is also highly versatile, making it suitable for a wide range of projects.

I'm developing a site with mixed content in a bunch of different scripts, mainly Latin, Cyrillic and Hebrew. There's also content in languages such as Lithuanian with an interesting variety of diacritics.

Whilst working on the design (in an extremely amateurish fashion) I was hoping to find a serif font for the main headings to compliment the sans serif base font. The Adelle font, as used by sites like the BFI looked great, but it appears to be exceedingly expensive. The vaguely similar (and free) Bitter font looks decent in Latin but seems to have no support for alternative scripts.

To be honest, certain diacritics seem to look bad in almost everything I've tried except the standard Nimbus Sans that is the default for my CSS framework. (I do not like its standard serif font - Liberation Serif - at all.)

Hi, I am trying to add a custom font (in this case Adelle BS Office Regular) to PBI desktop by adding it to the jason theme file.
However it does not seem to work. The theme file is added sucessfully and the custom font can be picked in the selection list but report is using another font (my guess reverting to a default font, i have tested a dummy font name and got the same result).
What can possibly be wrong? I have read that "If the PC has not installed the font, the font cannot be displayed." but in my case I have the font available in word/excel also I checked the the font is available in "C:\Windows\Fonts" folder.
