सेवउ साध गहउ ओट चरना नह बिसरै मुहतु चसाई ॥ रहाउ ॥ Seva▫o sāḏẖ gaha▫o ot cẖarnā nah bisrai muhaṯ cẖasā▫ī. Rahā▫o. that I might serve the Holy Saints, and seek the protection of their feet, and not forget them, for a moment, even an instant. ||Pause||

रे मन मुगध अचेत चंचल चित तुम ऐसी रिदै न आई ॥ Re man mugaḏẖ acẖeṯ cẖancẖal cẖiṯ ṯum aisī riḏai na ā▫ī. O foolish, thoughtless and fickle mind, such understanding did not come into your heart.

प्रानपति तिआगि आन तू रचिआ उरझिओ संगि बैराई ॥२॥ Parānpaṯ ṯi▫āg ān ṯū racẖi▫ā urjẖi▫o sang bairā▫ī. ||2|| Renouncing the Lord of Life, you have become engrossed in other things, and you are involved with your enemies. ||2||

सोगु न बिआपै आपु न थापै साधसंगति बुधि पाई ॥ Sog na bi▫āpai āp na thāpai sāḏẖsangaṯ buḏẖ pā▫ī. Sorrow does not afflict one who does not harbor self-conceit; in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have attained this understanding.

साकत का बकना इउ जानउ जैसे पवनु झुलाई ॥३॥ Sākaṯ kā baknā i▫o jān▫o jaise pavan jẖulā▫ī. ||3|| Know that the babbling of the faithless cynic is like wind passing by. ||3||

कोटि पराध अछादिओ इहु मनु कहणा कछू न जाई ॥ Kot parāḏẖ acẖẖāḏi▫o ih man kahṇā kacẖẖū na jā▫ī. This mind is inundated by millions of sins - what can I say?

जन नानक दीन सरनि आइओ प्रभ सभु लेखा रखहु उठाई ॥४॥३॥ Jan Nānak ḏīn saran ā▫i▫o parabẖ sabẖ lekẖā rakẖahu uṯẖā▫ī. ||4||3|| Nanak, Your humble servant has come to Your Sanctuary, God; please, erase all his accounts. ||4||3||
