SATERN International SSB Group

The Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN) is the official ham radio service to the Emergency Disaster Services Ministry of the Salvation Army. For more news and info on Salvation Army EDS go to disaster.salvationarmyusa.org. 
This group is dedicated to volunteers for the SATERN Team Emergency Network SSB Net. The SATERN National Liaison is Bill Feist at the ALM Div. HQ in Jackson, MS. Bill can be reached using his profile address here or directly at Bill_Feist@uss.salvationarmyusa.org. The SATERN So. Terr. Voice Net Manager and SATERN Int. We have several goals for this group (but we are not limited to only these) : 

- The volunteer service of ham radio operators during a disaster. 
- Training for volunteers in service to SATERN. 
- Establish a network of operators (SSB voice and digital). 
- Coordination of efforts and training between all the Southern Territory Divisions. 
- Coordination of volunteers in the aid of the Salvation Army EDS during Emergencies. 
- Convey information of use to hams interested in becoming SATERN volunteers and / or 
- Recruiting, scheduling, and training of Net Control Station (NCS) operators (SSB and digital). 
- Keep volunteers informed on changes and activities, training materials, photos, etc. that will be of benefit to SATERN volunteers.
