can you do a meta refresh 0 redirect header on the template?

this probably isnt the best solution, but it's worth a shot

Yikes. I don't think you can do a POST request using refresh headers (which would be required), but even then – that hack is way too ugly.

What payment method are you using? I'd recommend taking the existing one and using it as a basis to remove the confirmation step.

Take a look at the auto success module for an example of a simple collect and process module.
