Hello. Has anyone implemented a product results filtering system like
the one seen in the below link's left bar? In this example, the user
can filter the Internal Hard Drive category's results by Capacity,
Interface, RPM, etc:

http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=14&name=Internal-Hard-Drives

To the Devs: Does the above seem feasible, or better yet, easy to
implement with Satchmo?

I have a project coming up where I'd like the option to filter by
Brand, a couple attributes, and Price ranges.

Thanks,
Richard

This is called 'faceted' or 'parametric' search. I'm in the process of
implementing something like this in (or alongside) satchmo using
django-haystack in conjunction with Apache SOLR. I'm not done yet, but
it seems like it's not going to be too difficult with django-haystack.

You would probably end up wanting to create a couple custom views to take the various get parameters and filter your product.

I think it would be something very useful to folks and probably not too difficult but there is some custom work involved in doing it.
