According census 2011:

Children < 6 years age = 138,861,008 or say 153 Million in 2016 

 {Calculation: 2011 figure would have climbed to assuming 2.2% population growth rate & Infant Mortality rate = 42.5 per 1000 live births to 153,580,816}.

If 140 million were earlier provided FOOD, it gave decent coverage of 91.5% of entire India’s population of below 6 years old. Can you throw light on how this was achieved? Because this age group doesn’t come to SCHOOLS.

On the other hand in 2011,

6 years =< children < 15 years = 233 million or say 219 Million in 2016.

(Here the age group 10-14 years would moved out  of 6-14 range in 5 years and would have been replaced by those in 1-5 years age group in 2011). 

Here the HOT COOKed Meals coverage drops to 54.8% in the school going age group.

Why is there such deterioration? Is it because many children do not attend schools?
