Jai Bhagwan Everyone,

 

November 19th is પરમકૃપાળુ દેવનો birthday this year. It is time to take a test on this special day to measure our progress in the Mokshmarg since his last birthday.

 

Take the below test after watching the 2021 test video. The video is about a terminally ill Sansari Soul (Hero) and his thoughts about life.

2. Hero says that everyone lives the life but no one understands and knows it. Do you wish Hero knew that મનુષ્યપણું, જ્ઞાનીનાં વચનોનું શ્રવણ પ્રાપ્ત થવું, તેની પ્રતીતિ થવી, અને તેમણે કહેલા માર્ગમાં પ્રવૃત્તિ થવી પરમ દુર્લભ છે, એમ શ્રી વર્ધમાનસ્વામીએ ઉત્તરાધ્યયનના ત્રીજા અધ્યયનમાં ઉપદેશ્યું છે?

 

3. Hero says that he has given a lot of love to the life and will equally love the death. Do you wish Hero knew that જો દેહાર્થમાં જ તે મનુષ્યપણું વ્યતીત થયું તો તો એક ફૂટી બદામની કિંમતનું નથી?

 

4. Hero is saying that he has come into this world crying but will go with a smile. Do you wish Hero knew that only people go with a smile are those who attain સમાધિમરણ? 

 

5. Do you wish Hero knew that તેનો તું બોધ પામ કે જેનાથી સમાધિમરણની પ્રાપ્તિ થાય?

 

6. Hero is distraught about not knowing where he will go next after the death. Do you wish Hero knew that એક વાર જો સમાધિમરણ થયું તો સર્વ કાળના અસમાધિમરણ ટળશે?

 

7. Hero is saddened by the untimely end of many lives in the world including his. Do you wish Hero knew that પૂર્વિત કર્મનો ઉદય બહુ વિચિત્ર છે?

 

8. Do you wish Hero knew that સર્વ દેહધારી જીવો મરણ પાસે શરણરહિત છે?

 

9. Hero is stressed out for not finding answers about life and beyond. Do you wish that someone will share with him that દુર્લભ એવો મનુષ્યદેહ પણ પૂર્વે અનંત વાર પ્રાપ્ત થયા છતાં કંઈ પણ સફળપણું થયું નહીં; પણ આ મનુષ્યદેહને કૃતાર્થતા છે, કે જે મનુષ્યદેહે આ જીવે જ્ઞાનીપુરુષને ઓળખ્યા, તથા તે મહાભાગ્યનો આશ્રય કર્યો, જે પુરુષના આશ્રયે અનેક પ્રકારના મિથ્યા આગ્રહાદિની મંદતા થઈ, તે પુરુષને આશ્રયે આ દેહ છૂટે એ જ સાર્થક છે. જન્મજરામરણાદિને નાશ કરવાવાળું આત્મજ્ઞાન જેમને વિષે વર્તે છે, તે પુરુષનો આશ્રય જ જીવને જન્મજરામરણાદિનો નાશ કરી શકે, કેમકે તે યથાસંભવ ઉપાય છે?

 

10. Do you consider yourself extremely fortunate that unlike Hero and billions other humans you have all the answers about human life and most importantly જન્મ, જરા, મરણાદિ સર્વ દુઃખોનો અત્યંત ક્ષય કરનારો એવો વીતરાગ પુરુષનો મૂળ માર્ગ? 

 

11. If you answered yes to the previous question, are you doing aradhana as if there is no tomorrow?

 

That is the end of the test. Now, grade yourself by counting “Yes” and “No” answers. Count “I don’t know” and “May be” as “No” answers.

 

You pass the test if you answered “Yes” to all the questions. If not, you fail and it is time to go to the Ashram to attend the number of Shibirs equal to the number of your wrong answers. Attending online Shibirs do not count..

 

Let us show utmost gratitude to પરમકૃપાળુ દેવ on his birthday. It is because of him not only we have answers to all of Hero’s questions but most importantly we also have the grand Mokshmarg. We must appreciate, remember and pay the highest respect to પરમકૃપાળુ દેવ everyday.

JB everyone, HarshaAunti asked me to send this out:

I wanted to share with everyone that if you use the Vachanamrut App on your phone or tablet, all the Patras are now typed text which can be copied and pasted as proper Gujarati text.  It’s also quite possible, and accuracy remains an issue - to paste into ChatGPT 3.5 Phone app and ask it to translate.  It actually does a much better job than google translate or Bard.   

Also, if you click on the sandwich icon in ChatGPT app and you see your name and profile, click on the three dots to go to settings.  Then click on “custom instructions” and type in something like the following “When translating Gujarati to English, please use specific translations from spiritual texts like “atma siddhi shastra” or other books and texts related to Hinduism and Jainism.”  Feel free to play around.   Save it and it will allow for better translations.  

Again, accuracy is still a big issue and obviously, best way is to gain understanding of words and proper meaning is from Br. HarshaAunti or P.P. Bhaishree, but this can be a nice tool to have in back pocket using it SPARINGLY for those that find difficulty in Vachanamrut vocabulary or those just starting out and have difficultly reading Gujarati.
