Unfortunately it looks like the spammers have figured out how to cost-
effectively defeat Google's captchas. Sorry about the recent
resulting spam on this list--I've changed the policy so that new
members' posts are moderated, which will hopefully eliminate the
problem.
And: I hope to do an update of SASyLF soon, stay tuned....
