Position: Java Developer with Scala

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 12+ months contract

 

Must have 9+ Years of experience

 

Job Description:

Responsibilities Shall Include

• • Solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

  • Working with our LOB (line of business) users, collaborate with other technology teams to design, develop, test full stack cloud data solutions.

  • Embrace a culture of experimentation and constantly strive for improvement and learning

  • Self-driven and Lead the innovation, perform proof of concept and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology or equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in application development using any of these programming languages: Java,Spark, Scala/Python

  • Strong experience in AWS/Google cloud is mandatory and AWS/Google Cloud certified Developer adds more value . Experience working in financial industry is preferred.

  • AWS or any other equivalent cloud certifications would add more value

  • 1+ years of experience with DevOps automation tools (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform)

  • 1+ years of experience in developing, deploying and monitoring in building large distributed and parallel systems using container technology including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWD Fargate

  • Lead by influence, mentor junior software engineers, ability to navigate to different teams and business to find solutions to complex problems

  • Strong on critical thinking, great communication and team work skill is essential to this role

  • High level of responsibility and Ownership from inception through to implementation

  • The candidate should have a proactive approach to problem solving
