Coco and The Book of Life both take place on Día de los Muertos, but they're very different movies. There's a phenomenon in Hollywood where two extremely similar movies are released in the same year, or otherwise relatively close together, by separate studios seeming without knowledge of each other - these are called twin films. Although The Book of Life, from animation studio Reel FX and distributed by 20th Century Fox, was released more than three years prior to Disney and Pixar's Coco debuting in theaters, there's been plenty of discussion about whether the two could be twin films, or whether Coco simply ripped off The Book of Life.

Along with Sprigatito and Quaxly, Fuecoco is one of three starter Pokémon of Paldea available at the beginning of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They were also the first Generation IX Pokémon to be revealed to the public on February 27, 2022, through a Pokémon Presents video presentation.

Fuecoco is a bipedal crocodilian Pokémon with a mostly red body and a white stomach and face. Its body contains a small flame sac, which constantly leaks fire energy due to its size. The energy releases in the form of two bright yellow tufts of flame on top of its head; should Fuecoco get excited, more of these tufts of flame may emerge.[1] As shown in the anime, Fuecoco's tufts can emit light. Fuecoco has black eyes and triangular nostrils, and its mouth has three teeth, with one in the upper jaw and two in the lower jaw. It has stubby arms and large feet with two black toes on each foot. Fuecoco has yellow square scales on its stomach, back, tail, and the soles of its feet. These scales are warm to the touch, although they can become heated. The scales absorb external heat, such as from warm rocks where it lies on, to be turned into fire energy.[1]

Fuecoco appears to be based on a baby crocodile, although it has some similarities to theropod dinosaurs and crocodile toys. The fiery tufts on its head, its coloration, and its overall body shape together make it resemble a chili pepper, like the ghost pepper. Given its final evolution, the light color of its face and snout might be inspired by a calavera design, commonly found in the celebration of the Day of the Dead. Its Fire typing may be inspired by the fact that crocodiles release excess heat through their mouths.

GGP . . . the boundary between ethnography and pornography. To add to what Coco has said, this endemic dual perception of the Other, as either noble savage or cannibal, has existed at the core of European and American relations since the very first encounters. We try to play very much with these dualities. When we appear in the cage I am the cannibal, I am the warrior, this threatening masculine Other who causes fear to the viewer. Coco performs the noble savage, you know the quiet, subdued innocent. The response people have towards her is either one of compassion or one of sexual aggression.

Drug courts have proven to be highly effective. According to the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, 75% of individuals who complete drug court programs do not reoffend and it is estimated that these courts save up to $13,000 for every person served. Close to 3,200 drug courts across the nation serve approximately 150,000 people each year.

Full Suggestion: Halloween is coming up and the library has a display of Halloween movies, however the library does not have any of the classic, non-scary movies. Could the library get some movies such as Hocus Pocus (1993), Casper (1995), Halloween Town (1998) and all the other Halloween Town movies, The Addams Family (1991), and Scooby-Doo (2002). The library doesn't have to get all of these movies, but maybe some of them would be nice. Please and thank you! :)

Full Suggestion: I am requesting the library pull the Cosby Show from circulation in our feature films collection. Given the recent and severe allegations of rape against Bill Cosby, I think it is inappropriate to leave the collection of his TV show available with other feature movies. As an institution of higher learning that takes sexual assault very seriously, allowing Bill Cosby's show to remain in general circulation is inconsistent with university values. This is not an effort to censor history, rather place it in proper context. If students wish to access the Cosby show, they ought to access it in a special collection that has a note explaining why it is not in the general movies section. The note should say the University sees the show as an item of historical, not entertainment value. There should be a section of the note that says the school stands against sexual assault.

Response: You left out the best part: Tim Burton directed this film. He might not make the same cutting-edge movies he made 20 years ago, but a pairing with Christoph Waltz is intriguing to say the least. I will pass this suggestion on to our Acquisitions Staff and advise that you stay cautiously optimistic.

Full Suggestion: It might be nice if students were able to check-out books online and then go to the library to pick them up. I heard we can do this with movies, so if this resource is already available for books, how may I access it?

Response: I applaud the use of themes, but am a bit concerned about your fascination with having minions. While I can pass along this suggestion to our Acquisitions Staff, please note the library does not purchase public performance rights to the movies we buy. Check with Campus Events about public performance of movies.

Response: (Dirty Dancing) Typically we wait a year to replace a missing item, but since Dirty Dancing is such a popular movie, we will passalong the suggestion to our Acquisitions Staff.(P.S. I Love You) Funds for popular movies are limited, but we do buy based on suggestions. We will pass this along to our Acquisitions Staff.(Entourage) We generally do not buy TV series unless requested by a faculty member for a class. There are so many of them and they tendto take up a lot of space. Thank you for the suggestions.PS--Seriously, y'all, stop watching so many rom coms and start reading more books. The library has a ton of 'em.

Response: Funds for popular movies are limited, but we do buy based on suggestions and the Bond franchise is a rather iconic series. I'll pass this on to our acquisitions staff. Thank you for the suggestion.

Response: While I appreciate the value of dual monitors, we chose to go with the very popular large screen all-in-one workstations. Space and budget constraints would make it difficult to provide two monitors at every workstation.
