That was pretty good! Reed and Villipoto dualing it out on the last
couple of laps. I figured Ryan was going down, but he comes back and
makes the pass on Reed with a lap to go! What was up with Alessi not
letting the lappers past! It almost seemed like he was holding up
Reed on purpose!
Supercross is good, but I really like endurocross! In endurocross a
lead means nothing - guys are falling all over the place and obstacles
are tough enough that half the time even the lead rider will fall on
something or other in a given lap. In supercross, too often a guy
gets out in front and just stays there for the rest of the race. The
real interest usually becomes the battle for 5th or something like
that. That said, last night's San Diego Supercross was entertaining.
I can't wait to churn dirt either! My XR 650 is faster than I am,
though, so I always have to make sure and limit myself!
