not trying to rain on anyones parade here but this web site needs a
serious redo. Especially this lame forum.

I would be willing to revamp it and host it on my own server with a
real forum

and a possibly a shorter name like www.saskdualsport.com

not sure who's in charge

let me know what anyone thinks about this

if no one cares then i won't say another word about it.

keep new members..

Hey Calltrex. If you don't like the site I guess you can blame me, although I am not sure that I am on any sort of "parade" and this isn't really my site; there are a number of other people who have been administering the site lately as I have been very busy with work. It was my fault Invarient didn't update this site a couple of years ago and it is my fault it is so lame.

I think Invarient, Kiffer, Corney and some of the other long term members should decide if they would like to update the site. If they decide to then I agree with them. I know Invarient has plenty of ability to host the site at another location if need be.

So, thanks for your input Calltrex. We will discuss it.

Stay safe and get dirty.

Scramble.

I have not had a great deal of time to put into this site lately but I
always keep up on what is going on. I have enjoyed being part of this
group regardless of how this site looks! Invariant took the time to
put this together quite a while ago and I for one will not throw
stones at him for his effort! The goal was to bring like minded dual
sport riders together and I believe that was achieved!

I also spend some time on KLR.net and they want money to be part of
that forum because it costs money to keep that machine going. It also
requires advertising and becomes a business that some has to spend
time maintaining. The little spare time I have is better spent riding
my dual sport and hanging out with other riders out for adventure!

The only reason I am a manager is Glyn and Invariant and I had an
interest in putting together a way to communicate amongst a group that
was informally getting together for rides and discussing motorcycles.
Kiffer has been the one that came on board and has kept this this
going.

I like that this site has been free of the politics, squabbling and
other bull$&!( I have seen on other forums that I have been on.

If someone wants to take on the task of revamping our site then they
should fill there boots! I have the option of not being part of it if
I don't like the direction it is going and getting on my bike and
riding into the next adventure!

First off, thanks to all who have contributed to this site and this
group. You've all done a great job of getting the SDSC off the
ground.

I was in Alberta during the early part of the ADSMC, and saw that club
go through some growing pains. It started like this one did - a small
group of guys riding together. Then it reached the stage we're in now
- where the club is big enough that you have quite a bit of
diversity. When this happens, you end up having several core groups
in the club with guys (and girls - hopefully) who are into like-minded
riding (i.e. adventure touring, hardcore off-roading, or somewhere in
between). You also start to get differing opinions on the site and
club, which we may be starting to see.

This club's mandate is and will always be to provide a place for like-
minded dual-sporters to get together. It has done that and is
continuing to do so. Having said that we have hit the stage where a
facelift may be in order, and one is actually already in the works. I
can't say for sure when we'll be rolling it out, but hopefully later
this summer. Corney does have a point though, that riding season is
upon us, so our free time may be better used riding than sitting in
front of the computer. So it may take a little longer to roll out
than it should.

Thanks Calltrex for your opinions. It may have been worded a bit
harshly, but it's good to see new people coming on board with a desire
to improve the club. There are others who agree with you that an
update is due, and we may call on you to help with one if you're
willing. For now we need to see where things stand before determining
how to proceed. Keep your eyes on the forum here for info as it comes
out, and opinions from all members are welcome.

Not blaming anyone. You have to start somewhere.

I just would like to see this club be more with the times With a good
forum and add the tapatalk add-on for fast viewing on smartphones.
Easy to interact wi others etc

This would never turn into a pay site because it's local and there's
not that many people in this province. Could be free on my server

Like i said. I have time to do it now. Wouldn't take me long. Could
always make changes after if others wanted too. Or add stuff

I for one kinda like the way this site is.  I don't post much but I read often.  I tried your new site you had posted on advrider and my companies websense flagged it as malicious.
