Thanks very much for setting this up Invariant. Invariant is a great guy. I actually met Invariant when he was riding his white KLR 650 past my house several years ago. I flagged him down on the street and asked him if he wanted to ride with me. We went riding and I can now call him a friend. We decided to start this club so that others could talk and find people to ride with without having to stop people in the street. Since then I have met lots of other riders, many of whom I also feel I can call friends. There are people who have donated time and energy to this club in many different ways: some people lead rides, some people organize forums, some people administer these forums, some people check out routes, others post pictures of their routes/rides/ice racing, and others lend their facilities for meetings.

All in all I have I feel lucky to have met and ridden with so many awesome people, and I have never felt insulted in any way, until recently when our volunteer efforts have come under attack. Recently, a brand new member who has done nothing to help the club in any way, started insulting what we have done here. Initially, I agreed with some of the points raised by this person, and Invariant started work on the new forum we had planned some years ago. Invariant also made a formal invitation that this person could help with the site. This was not to be though, because this person had already set up an alternative forum using a name virtually identical to our own!! Oh boy, if my kids were fighting in such a petty and childish manner I would have to go down and spank one of their bums! I am trying very hard to not get caught in a petty and childish fight, but sometimes these things happen anyway :(

Anyway, life is too short to be spent bickering over such petty things. Contrary to what Calltrax has posted on his new forum, we have not deleted his membership from this forum. Neither have we even removed his posts that advertise his forum with virtually the same name as we have here. So, if Calltrax wants to continue to bicker he is able to post a reply to my comment, but I really hope he doesn't, because I have better things to do with my weekend, like ride and hang out with some good friends.
