to SASCO SASCO
comrades
On behalf of the 2010/2011 Branch Executive Committee I would first like to apologise for this late e-mail, as it was due to be sent the day after the AGM. We feel nonetheless that it is better sent late than not at all. We hope that you will bear with us in this regard.
We would like to extend our warmest appreciation to all those who made
time to come to the agm. We nonetheless want to apologise
for keeping comrades until late, but as you also might have noted
there were serious issues that had to be addressed. As you might
perhaps know that agm was an elective gathering, therefore we
have a new Branch Executive Committee (BEC), you will be informed
about their names in due course.

On behalf of the new BEC I would like to urge comrades to participate
in the workings of the organization, as we looking forward to a very
busy year in the next academic year. Comrades will be asked to be part
of the subcommitees that will formulated with the object of pushing
forward the programmes of the organization. We plead with those who
will be asked to join these subcommittees to commit themselves to the
tasks that they will be assigned. It is our view that you don't have
to be in the committee to work for the organization, you can play a
role as an ordinary member as well. Resolutions taken at the agm
present new challenges for the organization for next year, this
includes, among others, the organization of the celebration of SASCO's
20th anniversary, as SASCO was formed in this very institution in
1991. Working together we can do more ke ma maqabane.
To those comrades who were not at the agm last night, t-shirts were
handed out and we will let you know when we will be distributing them
possibly outside kaif, but we will let you know in due course.
Let us work together towards the transformation of higher education
making it a non-racial, non-sexist and democratic...
Amandla maqabane!!!!
